Home Admission Procedure
For admission to first year B. Pharm. candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University . The candidate must have clearly passed with minimum 45% for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate in Subject category i.e, PCB or PCM and the score in Entrance Examination conducted by AKTU , Lucknow for 50% seats. Remaining 50% through LTR institute of TechologyEntrance Examination(TEE). The candidates short-listed based on their performance in qualifying examination ( Minimum 45% for Gen and OBC category 40% for SC/ST inPCB or PCM for B. Pharm) the entrance examination conducted by LTR institute of TechologyGroup will be called for the counseling to be held at the LTR institute of TechologyGroup of Institution campus Meerut Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Biology/Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Computer Science or eligibility criteria notified by AKTU, Lucknow from time to time. The admissions will be carried out on the basis of U.P. State Entrance Examinations (U.P.S.E.E.) conducted by AKTU , I.E.T. Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow and TEE conducted by LTR institute of TechologyGroup. However, the vacant seats are filled by college authorities on the basis of the criteria laid down by the University from time to time.
Pharmacology department has separate well-equipped labs for under graduate and postgraduate students. Labs contains many automatic or digitals equipment like elevated plus maze, Actophotometer, Histamine chamber, Rotarod apparatus, Double beam UV-spectrophotometer, HPLC, Eddi’s hotplate apparatus etc along with conventional equipments like Organ Bath, Operation Table, Haemocytometer, Haemoglobinometer, Analgesiometer, Convulsometer etc. A separate animal house facility for the lab animals to smoothly carry out undergraduate and postgraduate research activity, which house rats, rabbits, mice etc.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry department has separate labs for undergraduate, postgraduate and research activities. Chemistry labs are well equipped with conventional and modern instruments like bio-safety hood, water bath, ovens, heating mantles, Double Beam UV spectrophotometer, HPLC, melting point apparatus and attached storeroom, balance room and instrument room.
Department of Quality Assurance has been started from Academic session 2013-2014. The course covers the contemporary topics related to:
Product Development and Formulation
Method development and Validation
Quality Management and Quality Control of Pharmaceuticals.
Stability Testing & Dating of Solid and Liquid Dosage Forms
Pilot Plant Scale-up Techniques
The Course is of four semester duration (2 years) out of which 2 semesters will cover the course work and the last two semesters will be devoted to research project and training in a Pharmaceutical Industry. The students qualifying this course will meet the current and future requirements of R&D personnel from the Pharmaceutical Industry.
